摘要: 介绍了用Tundra公司的Universe II(PCI/VME bridge)实现CPCI总线和VME总线之间转换的方法,论述了该芯片的特点、应用以及可能的实现方案和工作过程,讨论了该芯片的驱动移植情况以及在调试过程中遇到的问题和解决方案。调试结果表明了用Universe II芯片开发的桥接底板的实用性。

Abstract: This paper presents the scheme to implement the bridge between VMEBus and CPCI using Universe II from Tundra Company. It also introduces its characteristic, applications and working principle. Meantime it discusses how to port the bridge driver and deal with the problems in the debugging. The experiments show that the developed backplane with the CPCI-VME bridge is practical.
