摘要: 传统观点认为NFS协议不适用于数据库的部署。针对上述情况,通过分析影响数据库性能的因素、关系型数据库的I/O特点,论证NFS V4协议的新特征(COMPOUND RPC进程等)完全可以满足数据库对I/O性能的要求,且性能良好的文件系统有助于数据库性能的提升。通过实验验证在NFS V4协议下将关系型数据库部署于网络附加存储的可行性。

Abstract: Aiming at the traditional viewpoint that NFS protocol is unsuitable for the deployment of the database, this paper analyzes the factors that affect database performance and the I/O features of the relational database, and discusses that the new features of NFS V4 protocol(such as COMPOUND RPC process) can meet the requirement of database I/O performance. File system with good performance can help improving performance of database. Experimental result verifies that the way relational database deploys in Network Attached Storage(NAS) based on NFS V4 protocol is feasible and promising.
