摘要: 为降低H.264/AVC高编码的复杂度,提出一种改进的H.264帧内预测算法来选择最优预测模式。该算法利用宏块之间以及宏块内像素之间的相关性进行方向检测,并且优先考虑直流模式,从而判断最可能的模式选择方向。实验表明,该算法能够在保持信噪比和比特率几乎不变的情况下,减少70%左右的编码时间,从而降低编码复杂度。

Abstract: In order to reduce the high coding complexity in H.264/AVC, this paper proposes an improved direction detection mode selection algorithm to improve the encoding efficiency. The proposed algorithm takes advantage of the correlation in temporal and spatial domain and simplifies the DC mode. Experimental result shows that the proposed method can reduce the encoding time by 70% with negligible coding loss, and it reduces the Rate Distortion Optimization(RDO) calculations.
