3G网络中流媒体点对点自适应传输策略

摘要: 研究3G无线网络的流媒体通信协议和性能参数,提出一种流媒体点对点自适应传输策略,包括通信链路速率估计、流媒体自适应速率控制与媒体流控制、客户端缓存反馈控制。分析结果表明,在该策略中,服务器可根据链路状况多变的3G网络特性和客户端反馈参数,自适应调节媒体速率和媒体流,从而有效避免客户端缓存的饥饿和溢出现象,达到合理利用网络带宽资源的目的。

Abstract: Based on the research of streaming communication mechanism and parameters control principle, this paper presents an point-to-point self-adaptive transmission strategy for streaming media in 3G wireless network, which includes estimation for communication link rate, principle of self-adaptive media rate control and stream track control, control of buffering feedback from clients. Analysis result shows that media server can adapt media rate and streaming track in according with network link situation and feedback parameters of clients, effectively avoid buffer underflow and overflow, achieves the purpose of using the network bandwidth resources.
