Motion Estimation Algorithm Based on Adaptive Search Pattern

摘要: 提出一种可自适应选择搜索模式的运动估计算法。将非零运动块分为大、中、小3种类型,相应地利用基于六边形、基于标准菱形及基于小菱形的搜索策略实现运动估计。实验结果表明,该算法减少了块匹配的搜索点数,在保证运动估计精确度的同时,降低算法复杂度,提高搜索效率。

Abstract: This paper proposes a motion estimation algorithm based on adaptive search pattern. The non-zero movement blocks are subdivided into three types of large, medium and small blocks, and three searching templates including hexagonal, large diamond and small diamond are proposed for blocks motion estimation. Experimental results show that the new search algorithm reduces the search points, so that it ensures the accuracy of motion estimation while reducing the complexity of the algorithm to improve search efficiency.
