Ethernet High-speed Transmission Platform Based on FPGA

摘要: 介绍一种基于百兆以太网的高速数据传输平台,使用现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)作为主控单元,完成以太网接口芯片的时序控制,实现简单的TCP/IP协议栈。实验结果表明,该平台扩展接口丰富、通用性好,可以方便地与PC机进行连接,并可作为各种实验设备与PC机进行数据传输的中间件。另外,该平台的数据吞吐率较高,可以达到接近100 Mb/s的以太网极限性能。

Abstract: A high speed transmission platform based on Ethernet is introduced. The platform utilizes Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) as central control unit which is in charge of timing control of Ethernet interface chip and implementation of simple Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol(TCP/IP). The platform has abundant interface which makes it easily be used as middleware of experiment equipment and PC. It has high throughput which nearly reaches the full performance of 100 Mb/s Ethernet.
