新型功率放大器PLTC 行为模型及预失真应用

New PLTC Behavior Model and Predistortion Application for Power Amplifier

摘要: 为提高通信质量,针对功率放大器的记忆效应和动态非线性特征,提出一种新型的三箱PLTC(parallel-LUT-TMP-CIMT)模型。该模型由查找表、三角记忆多项式和记忆时刻信号交叉项并联构成。PLTC 模型用于功率放大器的行为模型建模以及数字预失真的应用,使用16QAM 信号驱动一个强非线性Doherty 功放来验证模型的性能,把PLTC 模型应用在预失真中,经过PLTC 预失真后,邻信道功率比减少大约22 dB。将PLTC 模型与多项式MP 模型、一般多项式GMP 模型和LMEC 模型这3 种模型进行精度与计算系数复杂度的比较,结果表明,PLTC 模型能够达到较好的精度,同时可以大幅降低计算系数。

Abstract: In order to improve the communication quality,this paper proposes a new,accurate,and complexity-reduced PLTC(parallel-LUT-TMP-CIMT) model according to the memory effect and nonlinearity effect characteristics of the radio frequency power amplifier in modern wireless communication system. This model is composed of a Look- up Table (LUT),a Triangular Memory Polynomial(TMP) and a Cross Items between Memory Times(CIMT),which are all connected in parallel. PLTC model is applied to model the behavior of the power amplifier model and the digital predistortion. This paper uses the 16QAM signal to drive a strongly nonlinear Doherty amplifier to verify the performance of the new model. Appling PLTC model in predistortion,PLTC model can reduce the Adjacent Channel Power Ratio (ACPR)by almost 22 dB. Compared with the MP model,GMP model and LMEC model,the result shows that PLTC model can acquire better modeling accuracy and linear effect and can greatly reduce the calculation coefficient.
