Performance Study of TCP Veno in MANET Environment

摘要: 采用NS2对运行在MANET环境下的TCP Veno的性能进行仿真测试,仿真结果表明,在有背景流、随机丢包且存在拥塞的 MANET网络中,TCP Veno的性能优于TCP Reno,且背景流越大、达到拥塞的时间越短、随机丢包越大,TCP Veno的优越性就越明显。但2种协议的兼容性较差,导致数据包的重传率增大。

Abstract: This paper tests the performance of Transmission Control Protocol(TCP) Veno by using NS2 in MANET environment. Simulation results show that the performance of TCP Veno is superior to that of TCP Reno in MANET environment with background traffic, random packet loss and congestion. The larger background traffic and random packet loss are, and the shorter time congestion takes, the superiority of TCP Veno is more obvious. Compatibility of these protocols is dissatisfactory, leading to rise of retransmission in data package.
