摘要: 负载均衡设备是提高网络性能的重要设备。该文研究负载均衡系统及其算法,对多种算法进行比较后选择基于agent的动态反馈负载均衡算法,在Intel网络处理器IXP425上采用VxWorks5.5嵌入式内核,设计出适用于园区网络的负载均衡器。在实验室环境内对多个校园网代理出口进行负载均衡测试,结果表明,该负载均衡器作为中小型网络负载均衡设备使用时效果良好。

Abstract: Network load balancer is efficient to enhance network performance. This paper studies different load balance systems and algorithms. By comparing those load balance algorithms, it adopts dynamic feedback load balance scheduling algorithm based on agent. This system is designed by combining with Intel IXP425 network processor and VxWorks5.5 embedded operating system. In laboratory environment, the balancer is used to balance proxy server load and has a good performance. Experimental result indicates the design is appropriate to use as a medium-sized network load balance equipment.
