四进正交小波基在图像压缩上的应用

Application of Orthonormal Four-band Wavelet Base in Image Compression

摘要: 针对四进正交小波不同构造方法及其滤波器组结构的优化问题,提出一种仅改变符号和位置的构造方法。在相同约束条件下设计不同实例,对比图像分解一次后小波系数的稀疏度,基于SPIHT算法进行图像压缩性能对比测试。实验结果表明,与其他结构下的四进小波相比,该方法构造的小波滤波器组结构相对较优,更能提高压缩性能。

Abstract: A new formation technique that varies signs and locations is put forward, which is based on different structure of orthonormal four-band wavelet as well as optimizing filter bands. Different cases are designed under the same constrained conditions, the sparseness of wavelet coefficient after image decomposition once is compared, and parallel tests of image compression are done according to SPIHT algorithm. Results indicate that the new structure methods of wavelet filter perform better than the others of those cases and enjoy an obvious advantage in compression.
