SAR成像并行仿真中的通信延迟避免技术

Communication Latency Avoidance Technique in SAR Imaging Parallel Simulation

摘要: 对于分布存储的并行计算机系统,通信开销是并行仿真程序性能提升的首要优化因素。为减小结点间的绝对通信延迟,以典型合成孔径雷达(SAR)成像仿真程序——R-D程序为代表,研究SAR成像并行仿真中的通信延迟避免技术,包括减少通信次数、减小通信粒度、选择合适的通信块大小和采用高效的通信函数库4种方法。实验结果证明,经过通信延迟避免优化的SAR成像程序具有较高的网络带宽利用率,能获得明显的性能提升。

Abstract: For the parallel computer system with distributed memory, the communication overhead is an all-important optimizing factor to improve the performance of parallel simulation program. To reduce the absolute communication latency between nodes, represented by a typical Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) imaging program, namely R-D, this paper researches on avoiding communication latency techniques for SAR imaging parallel simulation. Four important components are researched, including reducing communication numbers, reducing communication granularity, selecting appropriate communication block, and adopting efficient communication function library. Experimental results show that the SAR imaging program optimized by avoiding communication latency can present high net bandwidth utilization, and achieve obvious performance improvement.
