Abstract: This paper raises 3S system concept in the view of Geographic Information System(GIS)/Global Positioning System(GPS)/Location Based Service(LBS) applications, analyzes why 3S system flourishes and the scenarios it applies to, proposes architecture design of typical 3S system, and discusses critical technical problems of implementating 3S system such as map format, map matching, route navigation, platform independency and so on. It demonstrates the prototype of a 3S system developed for Shanghai Expo in 2010.

摘要： 针对地理信息系统/全球定位系统/基于位置的服务的应用，提出3S系统的概念，分析3S系统兴起的原因以及实际应用场景，设计典型的3S系统架构和数据流向，对系统中的地图格式、地图匹配、路径导航、跨平台性GUI界面等关键技术进行探讨，给出一个作为2010年上海世博会专项科技项目的3S系统的实现效果。
