Abstract: In order to improve the compression efficiency of the interlaced video sequences, this paper proposes a fast adaptive frame, field coding algorithm. The method selects the better mode for every macrolbock pair, according to the differences of macrolbock pair of current frame and same location in the previous frame in frame and filed mode. Then the frame moving activity is determined by the statistics of the macrolbock pairs, the fast-moving scenes are coded in field mode and static scenes are coded in frame mode. Experimental results show that this algorithm greatly reduces the computational complexity while maintaining great compression efficiency.

摘要: 为提高隔行扫描视频的压缩效率,提出一种快速的帧场自适应编码算法。计算每个宏块对在帧、场模式下与前一帧相同位置宏块对的差异度,由此确定每个宏块对的编码模式,根据一幅图像中场宏块对与帧宏块对的统计信息,确定图像的运动剧烈程度,对运动剧烈的图像采用场编码,否则采用帧编码。实验结果表明,该算法在获得较高压缩率的同时,能降低计算复杂度。
