Reliable Transmission Protocol Based on Grid Model in WSN

Abstract: In order to improve the reliability of package transmission, a protocol of Reliable Transmission based on Grid Model(RTGM) is presented. Instead of laying down nodes’ lives by a lot of energy cost, it makes full uses of the size of networks and the transmission range of nodes dividing the net into several grids for the sake of transmission reliability. Furthermore, RTGM introduces random packet loss model to find a reliable node to be the next hop by using the current nodes’ position and energy messages. Specifically a middle node is found on the line of source to Sink. Not only the nearest but also the most reliable node to Sink is chosen. Theory analysis and simulation experimental result show that, compared with AOMDV(Ad hoc On-demand Multi-path Distance Vector routing), RTGM improves the reliability of multi-hop and reduces the energy cost, which avoids the broadcast storm effectively.

摘要: 为提高传感器网络的传输可靠性,提出一种基于网格模型的可靠传输协议。该协议利用网络大小和节点传输距离将网络划分成若干网格。引入随机丢包模型,运用源节点的位置、能耗等信息,在源节点和Sink间确定中间点坐标,再以中间点为圆心的圆形区域内找到距离Sink最近的、可靠的下一跳转发点转发数据包,转发点覆盖全网格,非转发点休眠。理论分析和仿真实验表明,与AOMDV协议相比,该协议具有较高的可靠性且能耗较低,可有效避免广播风暴等问题。
