Abstract: Since the rate control for Multi-view Video Coding(MVC) is not well studied, this paper proposes a rate control algorithm for multi-view video coding based on the quadratic rate distortion model. The proposed algorithm consists of four levels for rate bits control more accurately. It reasonably allocates bit rate among views through the analysis of the coded information. The frame layer allocates bits according to frame complexity and temporal activity. Simulation experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can efficiently implement bit allocation and rate control according to coding parameters.

摘要: 在分析现有视频编码码率控制算法的基础上,提出一种基于帧复杂度的多视点视频编码码率控制算法。该算法将码率控制分成4层结构进行多视点视频编码的码率控制。根据已编码的信息在视点间进行合理的码率分配,利用帧复杂度和时域活动度分配帧层码率。仿真实验结果表明,该算法能够有效地控制多视点视频编码的码率,同时保持高效的编码效率。
