摘要: 利用国际上流行的评测工具对可能影响iSCSI存储设备性能的因素进行了测试分析。阐述了iSCSI与另外一种同样基于IP的网络存储技术NAS的本质区别,并在相同的软硬件环境下对iSCSI协议与NAS中所应用的NFS(Linux)/CIFS(Windows)协议的性能作了比较。对iSCSI元数据操作中的数据流量进行了测试分析。

Abstract: This paper uses popular benchmarks to test their iSCSI storage systems, and gives the essential difference between iSCSI and NAS which is another important IP-based network storage technology and draws a comparison between iSCSI and NFS protocol in Linux and CIFS protocol in Windows (NAS scheme) by performance testing. iSCSI metadata operations are also be examined. The obtained experimental results indicate that iSCSI can provide high performance in most cases but may be limited by implementation. And iSCSI metadata operations should be properly treated to improve the performance of iSCSI protocol.
