摘要: AVS-M是中国自主制订的数字音视频编码系列标准(AVS)中的移动视频编码标准。AVS-M采用了可变块尺寸运动估计和率失真优化模式判决,增加了编码器的复杂度。针对AVS-M帧间预测多预测块模式的特点,文中提出一种选择预测块模式的方法,可以有效地减少判决的模式数量。实验结果表明,该方法保证了视频质量,提高了编码器的编码速度。

Abstract: AVS-M is a video coding standard for mobile application, which is a part of domestic Audio Video-coding Standard(AVS) series standards. AVS-M encoder complexity is remarkable due to mainly variable block size motion estimation and exhaustive RDO mode decision. An algorithm of the optimal predicted macroblock mode selection for inter prediction is introduced, based on the researching the multi-prediction macroblock mode of AVS-M standard. The encoder computational complexity can be reduced greatly because just only part of modes would be chosen to compare with each other. Experimental results show that encoding time is obviously speeded up while maintaining similar visual quality.
