基于Haar小波的眼睛定位方法

Eye Location Method Based on Haar Wavelet

摘要: 积分投影方法是一种眼睛定位的基本方法,但传统的投影函数在光照干扰条件下容易失效。针对上述缺陷,提出用圆差异算子的平均波动值代替灰度平均值做积分投影,增强抗光照干扰能力,利用Haar小波对投影曲线进行过滤规整,有效地过滤了杂波,使得极值点定位非常容易,其中包括利用左右眼睛垂直投影的相似性识别眼睛的方法。在Yale 照片库上的实验证明该方法简单有效,抗光照干扰能力强。

Abstract: Integral projection method is a basic method for eye location, but lighting disturbance often makes it invalid. Aiming at such fault, the circle difference operator’s mean value of fluctuation as projection method in stead of the usual gray average method is proposed to enhance its performance against lighting disturbance. The Haar wavelet method is used to filter the noises of the projection curve. And the similarity of two eye region’s vertical projection curve is utilized to localize the eye’s position. Experimental results based on Yale face database show that this new method is simple and efficient.
