千兆以太网MAC的流量控制策略

摘要: 分析千兆以太网介质访问控制器(GEMAC)的流量控制策略,针对原策略PAUSE帧响应延迟时间长、缓存预留空间大的问题,提出一种改进的基于PAUSE帧的流量控制策略,在改进流量控制算法的基础上优化缓存空间。实验结果证明,采用改进的流量控制策略能使缓存预留空间减小42.86%,缓存利用率提高18.75%。

Abstract: This paper analyzes the flow control strategy for Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Controller(GEMAC). For the problems of long PAUSE frame response delay and large buffer preparative space, it adopts an improved flow control strategy based on PAUSE frame. It improves the flow control algorithm and optimizes the buffer space accordingly. Experimental results show that the buffer preparative space is decreased by 42.86% and the rate of buffer utilization is increased by 18.75% by using the improved flow control method.
