ABS Ratio Optimization Algorithm for Enhancing Network Energy Efficiency in Hierarchical Heterogeneous Networks

摘要: 分层异构网络改变传统蜂窝网络的拓扑结构,以提高网络容量,降低网络能耗,但其中存在的严重层间干扰问题会带来网络能效的下降。为此,在分层异构网络增强型干扰协调的基础上,提出几乎空白子帧(ABS)比率优化算法,用以改善网络能效。推导网络能效与ABS比率间的函数关系,通过求该函数极大值的方法优化网络能效最大化的ABS比率值。仿真结果表明,相比最大吞吐量、最大公平性的ABS比率优化算法,该算法可有效增强网络能效。

Abstract: Hierarchical heterogeneous networks change the topology of traditional cellular networks,and reduce networks energy consumption on the basis of improving networks capacity.However,the serious interlayer interference will cause significant deterioration of networks energy efficiency.To solve the above problem,this paper proposes Almost Blank Subframe (ABS) ratio dynamic optimization algorithm based on enhanced Inter-Cell Interference Coordination(eICIC) in hierarchical heterogeneous networks to improve networks energy efficiency.The relationship between the networks energy efficiency and ABS ratio is derived firstly.Then by taking the maximum value of the function,ABS ratio is optimized to realize the networks energy efficiency maximization.Simulation results show that,compared with the maximum throughput and the maximum fairness of ABS ratio optimization algorithms,the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the energy efficiency of the networks.
