Abstract: This paper presents a method of minutia detection based on tracing fingerprint ridges. By tracing ridges it seeks and verifies minutiae, and locates them with their relative position to the central point of the fingerprint image. It can remove the disturbance of the fingerprint image’s rotation and distortion, greatly enhance the precision of fingerprint verification.

摘要: 提出了一种基于脊线跟踪的指纹细节特征提取方法。该方法用脊线跟踪的方法来寻找和验证特征点,用相对于中心点的位置来定位特征点,因此能排除按捺指纹时产生的因为图像旋转、扭曲和变形造成的干扰,大大提高了指纹识别时的精度。
