Image Compression Based on Anti-symmetrical Biorthogonal Wavelets

基于反对称双正交小波的图像压缩算法

Abstract: A method of image compression using anti-symmetrical biorthogonal wavelets is presented, where the space and the structure redundancy in the static picture are analysized. The wavelet transform coefficients of the image and their correlation information degrees are computed, and the low frequency and the high frequency part of wavelet transform are encoded respectively. Experimental results show that the proposed method has explicit performance. When testing Lena image, its PSNR is 1.42 dB higher than that of DCT.

摘要: 研究了一种反对称双正交小波的图像压缩算法。通过分析静态图片中的空间冗余和结构冗余信息,计算图像的小波变换系数及相关信息度,并对低频和高频部分进行编码。实验结果表明该方法压缩效果明显,以Lena图像为例,其压缩品质PSNR指标比DCT方法高
1.42 dB。
