Qualitative Representation and Reasoning on Direction Relation of Three-dimension Space

三维空间方向关系的定性描述与推理

Abstract: By analyzing direction relation representation model in two-dimension space, this paper proposes a direction relation qualitative representation and reasoning model in three-dimension space, which is the extension of direction relation matrix model on the plane. The model divides the three-dimension space into twenty-seven regions by extending the edges of Minimum Bounding Rectangular(MBR) of reference object and uses a three rows and nine ranks matrix which is constructed by recording whether the regions meet with primary object in the twenty-seven regions to represent direction relations. Qualitative direction relation reasoning methods based on the model are given.

摘要: 在研究现有二维平面对象的方向关系模型的基础上,给出一个三维空间方向关系定性表达和推理模型。该模型是平面方向关系矩阵模型向三维空间的扩展,通过延伸参考对象在三维空间最小外包矩形的边,将三维空间划分为27个方向区域,通过记录上述27个方向区域与主对象的交集是否为空,构造一个三行九列的矩阵,用以表示三维空间的方向关系。基于该模型给出三维空间方向关系的定性推理方法。
