Performance Analysis of Satellite Network Using Three-layer Architecture

Abstract:

In order to resolve the problem of blind coverage area brought by the satellite networks based on the existing hierarchical architecture, particularly the difficulty to provide the coverage over the special regions or the areas of high latitudes, this paper gives a three-layer LEO/HEO/GEO satellite network architecture. The performance of coverage with the three-layer satellite network is analyzed, and simulated via Satellite Tool Kit(STK). Simulation results demonstrate that the three-layer satellite network can offer full coverage over both China and the areas varying from 75° S to 90° N with 24 hour uninterrupted.

摘要:

现有基于分层体系结构的卫星网络存在覆盖盲区,难以为特定地区或高纬度地区提供服务,针对该问题设计一种LEO/HEO/GEO 3层卫星网络体系结构。分析3层卫星网络的对地覆盖性能,并用卫星工具箱进行仿真。结果表明,该网络可实现对我国和南纬75?~北纬90?间区域的24 h完全覆盖。
