Abstract:
An optimization method of AVS sub-pixel motion estimation is proposed. The method is devided into two parts, one is adaptive sub-pixel early termination algorithm and the other is an improved way of sub-pixel interpolation. The proposed method can highly reduce the interpolation complexity and search points for sub-pixel motion estimation, which is appropriate to be used on embedded system. The computational complexity can be reduced above 70% with the new method without losing the quality of the video.

摘要: 针对AVS分像素运动估计的问题,提出一种优化的估计方法。包括分像素自适应提前中止算法和改进的分像素内插方法。该方法能降低分像素运动搜索的内插复杂度和搜索次数,适用于DSP、FPGA等嵌入式平台的实现。实验结果表明,在保证图像质量的前提下,该算法的总体运算复杂度降低了70%以上。
