Eyes Tiredness Recognition Combining with Integral Projection and Snake Model

摘要: 提出积分投影与活动轮廓相结合的方法识别人眼疲劳。使用活动轮廓检测眼睛,计算轮廓倾斜度并旋转摆正眼睛图片。对眼睛区域进行垂直积分投影计算,生成垂直积分投影二值波形。计算波形的3个特征值,识别眼睛张开或闭合状态。实验结果证明,该方法具有简单、有效和快速等优点,并可适用于人眼倾斜的情况。

Abstract: This paper puts forward a method combining with integral projection and Snake model to identify human eye tiredness. It uses Snake mode to detect the eyes, computes the contour of a face to locate eye position, then rotates the eye image to a suitable position. Vertical gradation integral projection is measured to calculate the region around eye, and becomes a waveform picture of vertical gradation integral projection. It calculates the value of the waveform’s three characteristics and uses it to recognize if the eye is in an open or closed state. Experimental results show that this method is simple, effective and fast, and it can also be applied in the inclination of the human eye.
