Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm Based on Multi-template

基于多模板的快速运动估计算法

Abstract: Aiming at the time-consuming problem of existing motion estimation in H.264/AVC encoder, this paper proposes a new fast motion estimation algorithm based on multi-template. It divides the current block as a quasi-stationary, slow motion, or fast motion block. According to the different motion block types, different search templates and strategies are employed. Experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm raises the encoding speed with about the same image quality.

摘要: 针对现有H.264/AVC编码器的运动估计时耗问题,提出一种基于多模板搜索的快速运动估计算法。将当前块划分为准静止块、小运动块和大运动块,根据运动块的类型选择相应搜索模板和搜索策略。实验结果表明,该算法在保证图像质量基本不变的情况下,提高了编码速度。
