摘要： 描述了ArcGIS Engine的特点，探讨了其在车辆监控系统中的应用，在分析车辆监控系统的组成和工作原理基础上，针对系统所需完成的功能，采用VB开发工具，集成ArcGIS Engine控件，实现了图层控制、车辆定位、轨迹回放、空间数据查询、路径分析等功能，该文完成了系统设计方案，描述了系统的实现过程。

Abstract: This paper introduces the feature of ArcGIS Engine. Application of ArcGIS Engine component in vehicle surveillance system is discussed. On the basis of analysis of vehicle surveillance system’s composition and work principle, using VB and integrating ArcGIS engine component, realizes function of map control, vehicle orientation, track replay, special data query and path programming. Then it achieves design of system, describes how to implement system.
