复合式快照算法及其两种变型的分析与比较

Abstract: Snapshot technique has wide application in backup, data mining and related fields. Also there are many approaches to create snapshot. Compound snapshot algorithm is a new snapshot technique. It can create unlimited snapshot chain and supply reasonable I/O performance. This article introduces idea of compound snapshot algorithm followed by two varieties. Based on the test result, analysis and comparison are also given.

摘要: 快照技术在备份、数据挖掘等领域有着广泛的应用,而创建快照的方法也有很多种。复合式快照算法是一种新型的快照生成技术,该算法可以创建不限长度的快照链,并且每个卷可以提供合理的读写性能。该文分析了该算法的流程,并提出了该算法的两种变型。在性能测试与空间利用率测试的基础上,对该两种变型进行了分析与比较。
