摘要: 基于分块的离散余弦变换(BDCT)在众多的国际图像、视频压缩标准中是一种主要的压缩算法,它的一个主要不足就是在低比特率下会出现明显的方块效应。根据人类视觉系统的特性提出一个各向异性扩散系数模型,并且引进了扩散速率因子。实验结果表明该算法能够有效地去除方块效应,同时又能保护图像的边缘信息。

Abstract: The block-based discrete cosine transform(BDCT) is a main compression technique in most of the international standards for image and video compression. One of the major drawbacks in BDCT is the blocking artifacts at low bit rates. In this paper, a coefficient model of the anisotropic diffusion based on the characteristic of human visual system (HVS) is proposed and a diffusion speed parameter is employed. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm reduces the blocking artifacts effectively and preserves the original edges faithfully.
