摘要: 为对植物叶片面积进行准确测量,提出一种通过Snake模型提取叶片轮廓,并在叶片轮廓基础上计算面积的方法。对传统Snake模型进行改进,定义HSI空间的颜色梯度作为Snake的外部能量函数,将提取出的角点作为初始轮廓的顶点,通过自适应增加或减少顶点来设置Snake的初值。利用改进的Snake模型提取叶片轮廓,在叶片轮廓链码表的基础上计算面积。实验结果表明,与Image J软件中计算叶片面积的方法相比,该算法的测量精度更高。

Abstract: For the problem of using image processing to accurately measure the plant leaf area, this paper proposes a new method which utilizes Snake model to extract the leaf contour and calculates the leaf area based on the leaf contour. It improves the Snake model. On one hand, it defines a color gradient in HSI color space as the external energy function of snake. On the other hand, it makes the corners detected as the vertexes of the initial contour, and increases or reduces the vertexes by adaptive algorithm. It utilizes the Snake model to extract the leaf counter. It calculates the leaf area based on the chain codes of leaf contour. Experimental results prove that, compared with the leaf area calculation method in image J software, this method is more accurate, and it has certain application value.
