Abstract: According to plate shape and char texture, an algorithm applied to license plate locating of vehicle image based on area operation is introduced. By taking full advantage of plate shape and texture characteristics, it lays out strategies to choose and combine candidate areas, which simplify plate locating to a fast and efficient process. And because area characteristic is not susceptible to plate size, position and noise, this method has good generality as well.

摘要: 根据车牌几何形状和字符纹理的特点,提出了一种基于区域操作的车牌图像定位方法,该方法充分利用车牌形状和纹理特征来制定策略,将车牌定位简化为对少数候选区域的遴选和组合,具有灵活高效的特点。同时由于区域信息不易受车牌大小、位置以及噪声的影响,因此该方法具有较强的通用性。
