Prof. Wu Jiangxing is an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He serves as a doctoral supervisor and the director of China National Digital Switching System Engineering & Technological R&D Center. He is internationally renowned in the field of network switching, and has played a leading role in the leapfrog development of China's information and communication industry. The team he led has won State Scientific and Technological Progress Award for their work on network communication and switching technology.
Prof. Wu Jiangxing has held a number of key positions in China's national R&D programs. From 1991 to 2010, he successively served as a member and deputy head of the expert group in the communication subject of National High-Tech R&D Program, and deputy head of the expert group of the information field of the same program. He also served as the director of the advisory committee for the mobile communication field in the National Sci-Tech Major Project, playing a leading role in the special projects including High-Speed Information Network, 3Tnet, Research and Implementation of Advanced High-Performance Computer Architecture, New Generation Highly Trusted Network, and Reconfigurable Flexible Network. He was also the deputy head of the expert group of the national Triple Play project, and deputy head of the implementation scheme expert group of the national Space-Air-Ground Integrated Network project. He directed the expert committee of the Next Generation Broadcasting Network, and was a former member of the National Reward Committee. Now he serves as the head of information research groups for multiple national projects, including the National 2035 Strategic Research Project, and the 14th Five-Year Plan. He is also leading the supervision/evaluation group for the mobile information network part of the National S&T Major Project, and is a member of the National Science and Technology Ethics Committee.
His awards include eight State Scientific and Technological Progress Awards(three first prizes, four second prizes, and one Innovation Team award), a first prize of National Teaching Achievement Award, Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Award, Wang Danping Sci-Tech Award, and ABAC APEC 10 Years Outstanding Contribution Award. He has also been awarded as National Outstanding Sci-Tech Researcher, Outstanding Contributor to National High-Tech R&D Program, Outstanding Contributor to National Sci-Tech R&D Program, and National Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert.
In honor of his outstanding contributions, Prof. Wu Jiangxing has been selected into Chronicle of People in the Reform Era, published by the national news agency of China in 2013 in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of Reform and Opening-up. The digital program-controlled switch HJD04, developed under his leadership, is also recognized as a representative achievement of Reform and Opening-up, and has been selected into the CPC History Museum as a permanent exhibit.
Jiang Bo is a professorate senior engineer and doctoral supervisor, serving as a standing committee member of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, and executive director of the 7th Council of China Computer Industry Association. He was a member in the Advanced Defense Thematic Expert Group of the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), and now a Chief Scientist of National Key Projects in the field of artificial intelligence. He is also the director of National Trusted Embedded Software Engineering Technology Research Center, director of Shanghai Urban IoT Center for Unified Municipal Management Platform, director of Shanghai Research Center for Mimic Defense Engineering, a provincial academic and technical leader, chairman of the Academic Degree Assessment Committee of the East China Institute of Computing Technology, director of the editorial board & editor-in-chief of Computer Engineering ( Chinese core journal), chairman of China Electronics Digital Technology (Group) Co.,Ltd, director of the East China Institute of Computing Technology, and chairman of CETC Digital Technology Co.,Ltd.. His main research interests include artificial intelligence, cyberspace security, quantum computing, embedded software and systems, cognitive software-defined system architecture, and cognitive software-defined radio, etc.
In recent years, Prof. Jiang has hosted a number of national and ministerial key research projects, including artificial-intelligence-specialized key projects, pre-research projects, and key technology introduction projects. He has won multiple national, provincial, and ministerial awards, including a first prize of National Award for Technological Invention, a second prize and 5 third prizes of Provincial and Ministerial Award for Technological Progress.
