Abstract: Fingerprint identification is becoming an effective method for identity recognizing. Fingerprint direction extraction is a key technique for fingerprint image processing, affecting fingerprint image pre-processing and post-processing heavily. A new algorithm of fingerprint direction extraction is presented. Experimental results show that this new algorithm is fast and effective.

摘要： 指纹识别日益成为一种有效的身份识别的手段。在对指纹图像进行处理的过程中，指纹方向信息的求取是一项关键技术，它对指纹图像的预处理和后处理都有重要的影响。该文提出了一种指纹图像方向求取方法。实验证明了该方法快速、有效。
