Abstract:
Streaming media will be used widely in the future Internet and WLAN/MANET hybrid networks, but the inherent characteristics of wireless medium have an important effect on its performance. A novel delay-constrained retransmission scheme with timestamp TS-ARQ is provided, and the theoretic analysis of the scheme is given based on the network retransmission model. Using NS2, the effects of several key factors and the performance of UDP are discussed.

摘要: 流媒体将在未来的Internet和WLAN/MANET混合网络中广泛应用,但无线媒介的固有特征对其性能影响很大。该文提出了一种时间戳和时延受限相结合的重传机制TS-ARQ,结合网络重传模型对流媒体的重传性能进行了理论分析,采用NS2对影响重传性能的几个关键因素和UDP协议的性能进行了分析。
