Abstract: The problem of development on IP multicast, the developing status on application layer multicast, and scattercast are recommended. Based on the expansion of scattercast’s systematical architecture, a new systematical architecture of large scale application layer multicast is set forth in order to solve the expansibility and compatibility with IP multicast. This paper recommends performance evaluation parameters.

摘要： 阐述了IP组播发展所面临的问题、应用层组播发展现状和ScatterCast应用层组播网络，在对ScatterCast扩展的基础上，提出了一种新的支持大规模应用模式的应用层组播网络体系结构，以解决应用层组播通信的可扩展性及与IP组播的兼容性等问题。介绍了应用层组播网络的性能评价参数。
