Research on Image Compression Based on Adaptive Lifting Scheme Wavelet Transform

基于自适应提升格式小波变换的图像压缩研究

Abstract: In order to reduce the error and improve the image visual quality in the wavelet transform process, a new method based on adaptive lifting scheme wavelet transform is presented. The gradient information is introduced to construct the decision-making function so as to gain the update and prediction operator due to grasp the optimized wavelet base. The integer quantization method is adopt in the adaptive lifting scheme wavelet transform, and experimental result shows that the proposed method is effective.

摘要: 为了减小提升格式小波变换中的误差、提高图像的压缩效果,提出基于自适应提升格式小波变换实现图像压缩的新方法。在自适应提升小波变换时,通过梯度法构造决策函数来调整更新算子和预测算子并获取最优的小波基函数,在系数量化时运用整数量化方法。实验结果显示该方法具有较好的压缩效果。
