Abstract: Aiming at the shortcoming of target recognition technology based on global features, this paper introduces target recognition technology based on local feature. The main component parts and the merits of the technology are introduced briefly. And the local features are divided into three classes and some approaches in common use are explored. From the point of applications, the difficulties of target recognition are discussed. The development trend of the area is forecasted.

摘要： 针对基于全局特征的目标识别技术存在的不足，介绍基于局部特征的目标识别技术。研究局部特征的特点和优势，阐述点、线、面3种类型的局部特征的研究现状和主流算法，探讨算法所面临的难点问题，并对基于局部特征的目标识别问题的研究前景进行展望。
