Q: Do you allow modification of authorship and institutional affiliations after a manuscript is accepted?
A: Modifications are permitted only while the manuscript is in the "To be revised" stage (note: the first author, primary affiliation, and the first author’s institutional affiliation cannot be modified). Ensure all corresponding parts, including English author/institutional affiliation listings and author biographies, are updated consistently. Once revisions are submitted and the manuscript progresses to the "Publication Fee Notification" stage, no further changes to authorship or affiliations are allowed, except for updating the corresponding author’s contact information.
If modifications are required in special circumstances (still excluding changes to the first author, primary affiliation, and the first author’s affiliation), you should telephone the editorial office at 021-67092217 for approval. Then you should mail supporting documents to Editorial Department ofComputer Engineering, No. 63, Chengliu Road, Shanghai, China (Post Code: 201808).
Required supporting documents include:
(1) To add an author: you need to submit a copy of the first author’s ID card, signed consent from all authors, official stamp from the primary affiliation, and a brief explanation (which must include the manuscript ID and title).
(2) To remove an author: you need to submit a copy of the first author’s ID card, signed consent from the first author and the removed author, official stamp from the primary affiliation, and a brief explanation (which must include the manuscript ID and title).
(3) To modify non-primary affiliations: you need to submit a copy of the first author’s ID card, official stamps from both the primary affiliation and new affiliations, and a brief explanation (which must include the manuscript ID and title).
