基于SIDWT的遥感图像融合算法

Remote Sensing Image Fusion Algorithm Based on Shift Invariance Discrete Wavelet Transform

摘要: 合成孔径雷达(SAR)和全色遥感图像由于成像机理存在差异,对目标轮廓、纹理和色调等信息的表现各不相同,像素级融合后将更易于图像判读。基于此,将平移不变离散小波变换(SIDWT)算法用于SAR与全色遥感图像融合,该算法克服了传统小波变换不具有平移不变性的缺点。同时,提出一种新的增强互补信息的融合规则:图像的低频部分采用基于边缘提取的加权规则,高频部分采用绝对值最大原则。实验结果表明,该算法能够获得较好的融合效果。

Abstract: Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) and Panchromatic Remote Sensing(PRS) images have different performance on the surface features of the target owing to their imaging mechanism, such as contour, texture. The pixel-level fused image is more favorable for interpretation. Based on this consideration, the Shift Invariance Discrete Wavelet Transform(SIDWT) algorithm is used for fusing SAR and PRS images, which overcomes the weakness of the shift variant of the traditional wavelet. A new fusion rules is presented for complementarity information enhancement, the fused approximate coefficients are obtained by weight rule based on edge extracting, maximum absolution value rule is used to fuse the detailed coefficients. Experimental results for real images demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
